Media is any form of research output that is recorded and played. This is most commonly video, but can be audio or 3D representations.
Movie of the 4D evolution (3D with time) of part of the model illustrating the formation of a transfer zone. The transfer zone is a lateral ramp that forms as a result of lateral rheological changes at the base of the model. The area covered by X-ray CT analysis is shown in Figure 5. (see accompanying paper). In contrast to Movie_A3 the brittle domain is now closest to the viewer. Each movie frame shows a perspective 3D view that consists of 88 serial cross-sections. Each cross-section represents a 2 mm thick CT slice. Dimensions of undeformed view in first movie frame are 27 cm x 17.6 cm x 3 cm. Shortening increment between frames is 1 cm. Quartz sand = orange, corundum sand = dark yellow.
