Epifaunal and infaunal assignments were derived from Murray (2006), Hayward et al. (1997), Hayward et al. (1999), and Hayward et al. (2021). Note that we regard Ammonia and Elphidium as primarily epifaunal, while they reserve ability to live infaunally under stressful conditions (Hayward et al. 1997, 2021).
