Fig. S1 Comparison of palaeolatitude determinations from different continuously closed plate methods and reconstruction models.The match demonstrates that strike location in palaeogeographic context is fit for purpose here. Where calculable, horizontal uncertainty indicated is 2 σ (van Hinsbergen et al. 2015). The vertical error is estimated at < 5° (Torsvik et al. 2012; Matthews et al. 2016; Scotese 2016).
